You’re Probably Making Less Than You Think
It’s not revenue, it’s what’s left after everything
I
’ve had this conversation too many times.
Someone thinks they’re doing well… because money is coming in.
Jobs are getting done. Cash is moving.
So they assume: “I’m making money.”
But activity isn’t profit.
I’ve seen people run jobs all week… and still end up with nothing left.
Not because they’re lazy.
Because they don’t actually know their numbers.
Most people price based on: What others charge What feels right What sounds competitive
Not based on: Actual costs Time Margin
And that’s where it breaks.
If you’re being honest…
Do you actually know what you make per job?
Not guess.
Know.
If not, that’s the first thing we fix.
