People have said a lot of things about me.
That I’m intense.
That I’m intimidating.
That I’m too smart. Too sharp. Too much.
That my language isn’t accessible.
That my perspective will cost me opportunities.
Some of them were wrong.
Some of them weren’t.
The real danger isn’t what people say about you.
It’s what you keep without examining.
Every criticism asks a question:
Is there truth here or not?
Strong people don’t reject feedback automatically.
Weak people don’t filter it at all.
Mature people consider, then choose.
I’ve changed my mind more times than I can count.
I’ve apologized without needing forgiveness in return.
I’ve gone back, admitted projection, owned mistakes.
Not because it makes me virtuous.
But because rigidity is a slow death.
So here’s something worth sitting with:
Which version of you are you defending…
even though you’ve outgrown it?
And are you brave enough to be misunderstood while you become someone truer?
